Welcome

Setting the record straight. ref MGCC

It was with great sorrow that on the 6th July 2010 I felt I had no other option than to request my removal from the MGCC trade membership scheme.

Following many years of happy involvement with the Club, indeed from the age of 5 when I can remember enjoying the many race meetings and social events that I was naturally involved with through my family, I have been an avid supporter of the Club and the MG marque. I have constantly encouraged people to join the MGCC, taken part in so many MGCC race meeting that I cant count, Carried out the XPAG engine rebuild DVD for the club, opened up my workshops for MGCC events and rebuild seminars (at great expense to myself), arranged specialist open days for members and have been a constant source of information, knowledge and support to the MGCC and for all T Type owners that have so requested help.

I have also supported the club with continuous advertising revenue for many years.

Following an unfortunate disagreement with the MGCC over the handling of a customer (MGCC member), An email was sent to Julian White of the MGCC on the 6th July 2010 where by I requested that I be removed from the MGCC trade directory.

The MGCC took it upon them selves to print just one small part of my letter and thus allowing it to look as if I am no longer prepared to work on the cars of MGCC members. This is simply not the case. I have always been and still am more than happy to carryout work for all MG owners whether they are MGCC members or not.

What I was trying to get across to Julian White was that there are fewer a fewer MG T Type specialists of which I am confident to call myself. The way in which the MGCC is going is in my opinion wrong and I fear that the MGCC will soon be left with just MGF, TF and Z specialists.

The MGCC have now removed me from the Safety Fast publication and have banned me from adverting in any future publications. This has started a fear amongst the MG world that I am no longer working with MGs or even that I have ceased trading. I can assure all that I definitely have not stopped working with MGs and that I am definitely still in business and all MG owners are welcome, just that they will no longer be able to benefit from my T Type knowledge through MGCC activities.

Service Department

Our service department is designed and set up purposely for MGs. Along with our knowledge of the cars we have all the specialist tools and equipment built up through years of working with this very special marque.

We carry out all aspects of service work, from the 100mile crucial oiling and greasing (which is carried out whilst you wait. Most people use it as a good excuse to have a ride out and look at some lovely MGs etc). through the general pre summer or winter inspection and oil changes to the full service.

Although we do carry out our service work utilising set service sheets, as MG specialists we always have our eyes open so as to spot any possible problems on you car. The difference between us and a ‘tick box’ garage!

Body Re-Finishing Facilities

Our increasing workload of body fabrication and alignment work has meant we have carried out a number of improvements to our body work facility.

We have moved the body fabrication and panel alignment from our body shop in the next village to our main workshop in Leaden Roding.

The body facility has moved into what was our Parts Department building, allowing it to be completely separate from the main workshop space, but still on one site.  We are now able to carry out major alterations from chassis straightening to body panel fitting and alignment, all under one roof.

So if your wings need attention or your door shuts could be improved, please give our team a call.

We can carry out all the work required including the removal, refitting, full tune and engine set up.
